Questions from the previous months:  Introduce yourself, your projects, and any goals you have for the year!

My sixth year doing the WIPocalypse! :DD

For those who visit my blog for the first time, my name is Maria, and I've been stitching for about 20 years. My goal for this year is to stitch as much as possible :D I'm gonna try to finish Death by Cross Stitch by the end of the year, and after last year's #nostarts2019 I'm gonna have 2 new starts in January, and maybe one more if I can finish Death by Cross Stitch :D

January: What SALs are you participating in this year?
None. At least for now, we'll see what the future brings :)

February: In honor of “Leap Year,” tell the story of a time you had to make some sort of a “leap” in stitching – taking the chance on a new style of stitching, attending a meetup or class, etc.

Well, the only leap I can think of is when I started Chuck vs. the Cross Stitch and decided to do it extreme cross country, finishing all the stitches of one color before moving on to the next one. While I started that wip with the biggest color, not the smallest, like all the following wips, that determined the way I've been stitching ever since :D

March: Have you ever adopted a piece from someone else or gave up a piece to someone else? Which piece and why?

I haven't, either of them. :)

April: Talk to us about your longest-running WIP or UFO
Well, that would be my El Conquistador, the one you can see right below :D As you see, I didn't start this one with the confetti yet, back when I started it, I still started my wips in the upper left corner. It rested for a couple of years before I picked it back up and put it back into the rotation, and then I went straight for the confetti, like on all my other wips :D If my calculations are correct, this piece is 3rd in line to be finished, right after Death by Cross Stitch and Montecristo.

May:
Tell us about a piece that you absolutely loved stitching.
Well, I love all my wips and finishes almost equally :DDDD But if I have to really choose one, it has to be my Arrow poster. That was the first one that I started with the colors with the least stitches, and I fell so much in love with that method I applied it to all my other wips, even the ones I started differently :D

June:
Half-year recap:  How are you doing with your goals so far this year?
Pretty well. I decided to speed up Death by Cross Stitch so I could definitely finish it this year :D

July:
What new charts or designers are catching your eye this year?
None really, but you know me, I just do my own stuff :D I did download Pandemic by Long Dog Samplers when it was free, but apart from that, nothing really.

August:
Have you participated in any of the mystery SALs on Facebook (or other social media)? What do you think makes a successful mystery SAL?
Honestly, I've never tried a mystery SAL, and I probably never will, so I have no idea what makes it successful. Sorry! :)

September:
Are you a seasonal stitcher, or can you stitch on any holiday/seasonal stitch at any time of year?
No, I'm not a seasonal stitcher at all, as you can see, I don't have any seasonal wips :))

October:
How do you choose what you’re going to stitch on next?
Pretty simple. I have all my 10 wips in my rotation, as soon as I finish off a color in one, I move on to the next one in line :D

November:
What new discoveries did you have in the stitching world this year?
To be honest, none :D
