Montecristo 001

Ez egy kegyetlenül nehéz döntés volt. Amikor befejeztem az Arrow-t, azt terveztem, hogy újra nekiesek, és folytatom a Montecristót ott, ahol abbahagytam. Viszont az anyag, amire annak idején elkezdtem, még nagyobb szemű volt, és annyira piszkálta a szemem, hogy kilátszott a szemek alól, hogy szinte elment a kedvem a folytatástól, annyira ronda volt. Amikor pedig a második napon felfedeztem egy akkora számolási hibát, amit nem lehetett volna bontás nélkül kijavítani, bontani meg olyan sokat kellett volna, hogy az már szinte lehetetlenség, akkor eldurrant az agyam, és drasztikus döntést hoztam. Úgy döntöttem, hogy teljesen újrakezdem az egészet. Vadiúj anyagon, és ha már lúd, legyen kövér alapon a mintát is teljesen újracsináltam. A régi program, amit az eredetihez használtam, csak 120 színt engedélyezett használni, a PCStitch-el viszont az egész DMC palettát rá tudom engedni a mintára, így az új verzióban 390 szín lesz :D Tehát itt az új Montecristo az első 19 egyöltéses színnel (157, 312, 581, 718, 794, 803, 809, 915, 917, 936, 3733, 3814, 3816, 3831, 3836, 3849, 3890, 3894) 11 kétöltésessel (156, 208, 209, 469, 552, 554, 580, 3687, 3688, 3716, 3844), 7 háromöltésessel (161, 322, 553, 562, 793, 3350, 3837) és 8 négyöltésessel (210, 333, 471, 761, 907, 3689, 3838, 3886) :D

This has been an extremely hard decision. When I finished Arrow, I was planning to return to Montecristo and finish it. But the fabric I started it on was a lower count, and the fabric peeking out from under the stitches hurt my eyes so bad that I almost lost the desire to work on it. And when the next day I discovered a miscount so big that I couldn't have fudged it without frogging, and I would've had to frog an impossible amount of stitches, I got so mad I made a drastic decision. I decided to start the whole thing all over again. And while I was at it, I've remade the chart as well. While the old software I used for the pattern only allowed 120 colors per chart, with PCStitch I can use the entire DMC palette, so I ended up with 390 colors in the new version :D So here's the new version of Montecristo with the first 19 colors with 1 stitch (157, 312, 581, 718, 794, 803, 809, 915, 917, 936, 3733, 3814, 3816, 3831, 3836, 3849, 3890, 3894) 11 colors with 2 stitches (156, 208, 209, 469, 552, 554, 580, 3687, 3688, 3716, 3844), 7 colors of 3 stitches (161, 322, 553, 562, 793, 3350, 3837) and 8 colors of 4 stitches (210, 333, 471, 761, 907, 3689, 3838, 3886) :D

Invasion 001

Mivel az újrakezdett Montecristót nem számítom új darabnak, nem bírtam ellenállni a kísértésnek, hogy becsúsztassak egy új művet az Arrow poszter helyére, és erre tökéletesebb jelölt nem is lehetne, mint az első nagy négyes crossover, az Invasion posztere. A kezdet ennél minimálisabb nem is lehetne, mivel csak 5 színből volt 1-1 öltés: 772, 957, 961, 986 és 3608. Bár nem sok esély van rá, hogy bárki is megtalálja őket a képen :DD

Since I don't count the restarted Montecristo as a new wip, I couldn't resist the temptation to fill the Arrow poster's slot with a new start, and I couldn't have found a more perfect candidate for that than the poster of the first big 4-way crossover, Invasion. The start couldn't have been smaller, with only 5 colors with 1 stitch each: 772, 957, 961, 986 and 3608. I doubt anyone could actually find them on the photo :DD

Most, hogy végre kész az Arrow, és ennek örömére pihentem, szüneteltem egy kicsit (oké, többet, mint eredetileg terveztem :D), itt az idő visszatérni a régi menetrendhez, és újra elővenni szegény elhanyagolt műveimet! Kezdve természetesen ezzel. A dolgok jelenlegi állása szerint valószínűleg ez lesz a következő, amit befejezek, remélhetőleg jövő év végére :D Most viszont 500 öltésnyi 221-essel gyarapítottam Barry fejét.

Now that I've finally finished Arrow, and to celebrate it, I've rested-paused for a little bit (OK, a bit more than I originally planned :D), it's time to return to my old rotation and pull back out my poor neglected wips! Starting with this one, of course. The way things stand now this will probably be the one I finish next, hopefully by the end of next year :D As for now, I've added 500 stitches of 221 to Barry's head.

Jól indultam a 939-essel, már majdnem negyede (28921 öltés) kész lett egy hónap alatt! Ha tudom ezt a tempót tartani, április végére tényleg kész lesz! :DD

I made a pretty good start with the 939, I've completed almost a quarter of the stitches (282921 stitches) in a month! If I can keep up this pace, I will finish it by the end of April! :DD

Az ember azt hinné, megunom, hogy ilyen sokáig kell egy színnel dolgoznom, főleg hogy egyre nagyobb egybefüggő foltok jönnek, de nem, éppen ellenkezőleg! Hihetetlenül élvezem! :DDDD Újabb 3 motring 823-ast fogyasztottam el, ez egyben 25375 öltés volt.

You'd believe I'd get bored having to stitch with one color for so long, especially with bigger and bigger blocks coming up, but no, it's quite the opposite! I enjoy it immensely! :DDDD I've used up 3 more skeins of 823 which add up to 25375 stitches.
